Privacy Policy
Nodoff is a sleep-coaching app built on a simple promise: we help you sleep better without exploiting your data or your trust. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what Nodoff does and does not do with your information.
- Your sleep data from Apple Health is read only, used only inside the app.
- Your diary and progress stay on your device.
- We never sell your data, never use it for advertising, and never track you across other apps or websites.
- Coaching works on device. If optional cloud coaching is enabled and you choose Generate, it sends a small summary of derived sleep statistics — never your raw Health records.
What Nodoff accesses, and why
Apple Health (HealthKit) — read only. With your permission, Nodoff reads your sleep analysis data from Apple Health to show your trends and compute your personalized sleep window. Nodoff does not write to Health and does not read any other health category. You can revoke this access at any time in the Health app (Profile → Apps → Nodoff).
Your sleep diary and program progress. Check-ins (time to fall asleep, wake-ups, mood, notes) and your progress through the program are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to us.
Settings. Your goal, reminder time, and progress are stored in your device's standard app preferences, accessible only to Nodoff.
The AI coach (optional, premium)
Coaching works on device by default. If a build offers optional cloud coaching and you choose Generate, Nodoff sends a short, derived summary of your sleep to our backend, which relays it to an AI provider (Anthropic) to generate your daily coaching note. This summary contains aggregated statistics — for example, your average time asleep, sleep efficiency, and how consistent your bedtimes are — and never your raw Health samples, timestamps, diary notes, or identity. We send the minimum needed to write a useful note.
What we never do
- We never sell or rent your data.
- We never use your data for advertising.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We never share your Health data with third parties except the AI provider described above, and only as the derived summary needed to generate a note.
Data retention and deletion
- On-device data (diary, progress, settings) is removed when you delete the app.
- Health access is controlled by you in the Health app and can be revoked at any time.
- To request deletion of anything associated with the AI coach service, contact us at the address below.
Payments
Subscriptions and purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Nodoff never sees or stores your payment details. You can cancel any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Children
Nodoff is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Not medical advice
Nodoff is a coaching tool grounded in CBT-I. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not a substitute for professional care.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
